Chase (NYSE: JPM) took some cues from customer complaints by easing up on the monthly fees that customers see for performing direct deposit. Chase will waive the $12 monthly fee for Chase Total Checking accounts when users post monthly direct deposits that total $500 or more. On an unrelated note, Chase is also beginning to issue small settlement funds for deceptively marketing its Payment Protection Products and enrolling customers without disclosing the terms.
